We miss you already. The house is filled with guests, but I just had to stop to write to you. It's hard to believe that your time with our family has come to an end. You were like a ray of sunshine whenever you were here. As the grandmother, who was trying to do as much as I could to help the new mom, still, I could never provide the encouragement and professionalism that you did. You did so much to make all of our lives easier and so very pleasant. Karen and I both loved your low key, down to earth nature (and you're so fast). You do 4 things at the same time, talk about multi-tasking. I'm so glad that we got to know you and that you were here for all of us.

How a Doula Helped Us: If it weren't for our doula, her education, organization and birth plan, I wouldn't have been so calm and reassured for the weeks leading up to and including the day I went into the hospital for a labor induction of our twins (yes, a full 40 weeks!). If it weren't for our doula coming to the hospital the day after our twin girls were born to show me how to position them and get them to latch on properly, I wouldn't have been so successful with breastfeeding my babies (18 months!). If it weren't for our doula showing up the day after we returned home from the hospital, I would not have taken a nap that day and saved my sanity. If it weren't for our doula and her dedication, I would not have gotten the rest, the utmost support to breastfeed both babies exclusively, and the most valuable input to be the mother I wanted to be those first 6 weeks. If it weren't for our wonderful doula, the memories of the most amazing time in our lives would not carry the beautiful memories that they do. My husband, my daughters and I are so thankful to have had such a caring, experienced and supportive doula in our lives. Everyone should have a doula!

My husband and I can't thank you enough for all you did during the birth of our son. You were both professional and caring. In addition, you helped us make several "key" decisions throughout our labor and delivery. Although the process was not what we had planned on, we truly believe it was a positive experience thanks to you. The end result speaks for itself. Tina not only made my life easier, she also allowed me the opportunity to get to know myself as a mother. Tina is very "hands on" and takes initiative in doing things. I rarely needed to ask for things...she was always two steps ahead of me. She is absolutely fantastic!
